Gene Barry
Carvajal with film and television actor Gene Barry ("Bat Masterson"), one
of a steady stream of Hollywood and New York film and stage celebrities
who came to Washington, D.C., during the heady days of John and Jackie
Kennedy's "Camelot," eager to help promote any programs and objectives
the Federal government wanted to publicize.   As Jimmy Durante would
have said, "Everybody wanted to get into the act!"  Carvajal had the
enviable job of being the prime publicist for many of those events.
