staged in the Grand Ballroom of the Peachtree Plaza Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia,
for the Wedgewood Theatrical Productions Company (a professional gig, with
the cast housed at the nearby Omni Hotel.) The audience was comprised of
hundreds of delegates to a national sales convention. -- 1979
The American Embassy Players, Bangkok, Thailand. -- "Mock Election Rally"
(played candidate George C. Wallace.) Charity fundraiser gala show,
performed on large outdoor stage on grounds of U.S. Ambassador's residence,
with hundreds of people in the audience (including Ambassador G. Mennen
"Soapy" Williams and famous newspaper columnist Joe Alsop.) Carvajal was
a U.S. Foreign Service Press Attache at the time. -- 1968

Historical Note: Theatre Lobby was a venerable, downtown-D.C. (just off
Connecticut Avenue) venue where actor George C. Scott spent some "amateur"
time before going up to NYC to try his luck as a professional. His luck turned
out to be pretty good.

Historical Note: Lisner Auditorium later became the venue for the TV news
program "Crossfire." The original, low-rise, curved-apron stage is still there,
and was the main set whenever Lisner was used as a television studio.

"Who Gets The Car Tonight?" -- Paul. City-Wide One-Act Play Tournament,
New Orleans -- 1947. Carvajal, a high school junior at the time, won the
tournament's Best Actor Award, got hooked, and went on to do "the theater
thing" as a life-long avocation.
